Disc golf may be the most underrated activity we offer here at Sugarbush in the summer months. The great thing about disc golf, is it can be as leisurely or rigorous as you want. It’s typically the perfect excuse to just spend time outdoors with friends. Our course is designed just for that. It features a total of 18 holes in the base area and through the woods. It follows the lower trails and boasts a few new upgrades. Though it weaves through the mountainside, it offers room for both the competitive spirit, or those enjoying the scenic views along the way. Our tees have been updated to be flatter, and more functional, and also feature new tee mats. Throwdown Thursdays
Throwdown Thursdays have returned for the summer offering the perfect opportunity to create a little friendly competition. If you haven’t made it out to one yet, there’s still plenty of time! Throwdown Thursdays will continue through September 28th with plenty to see and do. Every Thursday we offer brick oven pizza in the courtyard, drinks from the Umbrella Bar, and ice cream from the Sugar Shack alongside live music to keep the energy high. If you’re feeling a bit more ambitious, you can also sign up for double’s cornhole tournaments to win prizes. Or, join the disc golf league and compete for weekly prizes, as well as a grand prize!
Leagues and Tournaments
This year Sugarbush is offering a few different disc golf leagues for anyone to participate in! First, is the weekly league taking place during Throwdown Thursdays. The league pass price is $59 (or automatic entry if you purchased a Disc Golf Season Pass!) and prizes are awarded weekly for top male and top female winner. The grand prizes for the top three winners are a Sugarbush Local Pass, Sugarbush Quad Pack, and a $50 Sugarbush gift card. Next, returning is the Fall Classic – Trilogy Disc Golf Tournament happening September 16th. With it’s own unique twists. To simplify scoring we have incorporated UDisc League. This allows competitors to track their scores in real time against their competition and allows for faster results. In the Thursday night league, competitors can play the course earlier than the designated start time opening up time to enjoy fresh pizza and beer, or enter the cornhole tournament!
