A Guide to Visiting Holiday Weekends

It’s that time of year when days off are few and far between, and everyone looks forward to those long weekends that come with those few winter holidays. We’re talking MLK, President’s Day, you know the usual suspects. It’s always the one day everyone has off and heads to the same place. They’re gonna be here, you’re gonna be here, we’re all gonna be here, might as well embrace it! Enjoy your long weekend doing what you love, and let me help you work through the crowds with ease.

Parking

If you’re anything like me, the minute you see a crowded parking lot you just head to the furthest lot knowing the longer walk surely weighs out any spot-finding-people-dodging stress. My parking tip to you is to get here at opening to get the best spot. In the case that you do have to park in a further lot, we offer complimentary shuttles right to the base. Lastly, carpooling is incredibly useful. If you plan to go with friends, try meeting and taking the Mad Bus up to the mountain!

Make Reservations

Our reservation system includes much more than dining. In some cases, it’s necessary to schedule ahead as walk-ups aren’t always available! This can include purchasing lift tickets, scheduling lessons, or renting gear. Things fill up quick so child and adult lessons must be booked ahead of time by at least 72 hours. As far as dining goes, all menus, hours, and online ordering services can be found in the app. We have fifteen dining venues, so if one place fills up – you’re sure to find a bite elsewhere!

Explore All We Have to Offer

While you’re planning, don’t forget we have tons of free and ticketed family-friendly events going on all season long! Every holiday at Sugarbush is chock-full of events from magicians, to live music, stargazing, and movie nights. There’s something for everyone to enjoy on and off the mountain. Exploring all our offerings is a great way to add something unexpected to your trip. Sugarbush is surrounded by XC ski and snowshoe trails, not to mention our beloved Valley. You’d be remiss to not head into town for a little shopping, dining, or sightseeing. All in all, planning ahead is your best bet for navigating busy holiday weekends at the resort!
