Holiday Merriment For All with Family Friendly Events at Sugarbush

Warren, VT (December 13, 2022) – Holiday celebrations will commence at Sugarbush starting 12/17 with a full calendar of activities through 12/31.

Starting off the holiday season strong, there will be a Breakfast with Santa at Rumble’s Bistro and Bar Saturday, December 17th. Enjoy brunch while your kids can take photos with Santa, and all can get into the Christmas Spirit.

Also on Saturday, a Holiday Craft Bazaar will be held from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at the Gate House Lodge. Local artists and makers will be showcasing their pieces for purchase. There will be a great variety of artisan-made gifts, from wood makers, designers, and more. 

The following weekend, Rumble’s Bistro and Bar will be hosting another Breakfast with Santa, on Christmas Eve morning. That night at 5:00 pm, there will be a non-denominational Christmas Eve Service in the Gate House Lodge led by Norwich University Chaplain Bill Wick.

Monday the 26th, kicks off a full week of events for the family. We’ll be starting with Live Music in the Courtyard with Chicky Stoltz at 1:00 pm. The following day, sing along to Christmas Carols with Kind Bud and his acoustic guitar. Enjoy the holiday tunes while keeping warm by the outdoor fires in the courtyard.

A variety of events take place on December 28th starting with Holiday-themed Face Painting in the Sleeper Room of the Gate House Lodge. Next up will be Live Music in the Courtyard with the John Lackard Duo at 1:00 pm. Also at 1:00 pm, Marko the Magician will be performing close-up magic in the Gate House Lodge. End the night with Family Stargazing with Vaughn at 6:00 pm with hot chocolates by the fire.

December 29th has a similar lineup with Holiday Face Painting followed by Live Music in the Courtyard with Phineas Gage. And, Marko the Magician will return for another show in the Gate House Lodge. If the weather is clear, end your evening with Family Stargazing with Vaughn. Don’t forget your binoculars!

Events on December 30th will kick off with Dux the Balloon Man and his entertaining, balloon-twisting fun, in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard at noon. Next, there will be Live Music in the Courtyard with the Devon McGary Duo. Lastly, presented by Protect our Winters, is a Family Movie Night screening of Purple Mountains at 6:00 pm in the Gate House Lodge.

December 31st rounds out the whole shebang with a slew of events all day long. Start your day again with Dux the Balloon Man in the courtyard with your kids. Then, be wowed by the high-energy juggling of Jason Tardy at 3:00 pm. Later, get outside with the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Snow Shoe Tour where you will be guided to the top of Gate House Quad to enjoy the fireworks with a cup of hot chocolate. Lastly, the New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Torch Light Parade will kick off at 7:00 pm. Enjoy the dazzling display of lights from the courtyard but remember, to please leave your pets at home. 

These featured events are just a few things going on at Sugarbush during the holiday week. Also enjoy apres groomer rides, day-time snowshoe tours, and group classes at SHaRC. There’s plenty to enjoy on and off the mountain this holiday season!
