As much as we love March around here, (because spring skiing, duh) it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to Mt. Ellen at the end of the month every year. As much as we love her and want her to stick around, she sheds her winter coat quietly through April, on her own. But, before then, we must celebrate everything we love about Mt. Ellen! There’s plenty to get after at Mt. Ellen during March, from fabulous spring skiing to deck hangs in the sun at GML, and so much more. With just one week left of loving on Ellen, lets look back and celebrate the good times we had this season, before one last hoorah!
High Fives Foundation – 14th Annual Green Mountain Shred-A-Thon
High Fives held their 14th Annual Green Mountain Shred-A-Thon this month at Mt. Ellen. The community surpassed their fundraising goal with a total of $548,087! Despite a cold and windy day, the vibes were high, and the slopes were buzzing with positivity. We are proud to sponsor the event year after year in support of the amazing work High Fives does with adaptive athletes. Sugarbush PARKS
Mt. Ellen is home to the beloved, award-winning Riemergasse Park. A true highlight of the mountain, our PARKS team works relentlessly every year to make the park (and our other smaller parks!) even better than the last. Spanning 6 acres, this expertly designed park boasts 50 cutting-edge features across a 2,100-foot-long slope. The team over at Mt. Ellen is known for their progressive rail setups and meticulously crafted snow features. A highlight of this season was bringing Shaping Our Future to the parks for a one-of-a-kind event focusing on bringing more people into the snow sports industry by way of terrain parks. Kids to learned how to weld, shape, rake and build a terrain park over 3 days making for an unforgettable experience!

Help us celebrate the closing of Mt. Ellen! Join us on Sunday, March 30th for a day of fun, music, and great vibes. Get ready for live tunes from The Detonators, and don’t miss our legendary Champagne Cowbell Competition. Hit the bell with the cork, and you could win big! Come raise a glass, dance to some great music, and celebrate the mountain we all adore. It’s going to be a day to remember, so bring your friends and let’s give Mt. Ellen the send-off she deserves!
