Make Memories at Adventure Camp this Summer

Make Memories at Adventure Camp this Summer

Some of the best friends, the best memories, and skills are made at summer camp. There’s nothing that matches the connections formed between campers and the pure nostalgia and joy that comes with looking back on it. Whether you have a vacation planned to visit Vermont this summer, or you’re a valley local, our summer camps here at Sugarbush are a great option for kids to enjoy the outdoors.

All summer offerings, including camps, begin June 26th. With varying camps for kids ages 4-12, each one offers an adventure in the Green Mountains. Kids get to explore and hike, swim in the river, farm, play games and so much more. Let’s breakdown each of the offerings!

Adventure Camp (Ages 7-12)

Kids in the Adventure camp can get excited for mountain biking, hiking, creek cruising, rock climbing, farming, swimming, mountain exploration, and disc golf just to name a few. Depending on the day of the week, campers can expect different activities to participate in, including field trips outside of the resort! Bike sessions are optional for Adventure Campers and may bring their own equipment or rent from the gear shop. Our camps are rain or shine and screen free!

Required Gear:

  • Appropriate clothing for rain or shine outdoor time
  • Sturdy sneakers, bike shoes and/or hiking boots
  • Water proof Sandals/Water Shoes that can be worn in the river (no flip-flops)
  • Swim suit
  • Backpack (small daypack is okay)
  • Water bottle or Camelback type system for hydration (very important!)

Mini Camp (Ages 4-6)

Kids in the Mini Camp can get excited for hiking, swimming, creek cruising, disc golfing, strawberry picking, nature exploration, and much more! Additionally, kids can also expect to make campfires, roast marshmallows and other campfire treats, as well as bike. If your child is not riding independently on two wheels we recommend balance bikes, not bikes with training wheels, as they are difficult to ride on our mountain terrain. Bikes, including balance bikes, are available for rent in the Adventure Gear Shop.

Required Gear:

  • Appropriate clothing for rain or shine outdoor time
  • Sturdy sneakers, bike shoes, and/or hiking boots (shoes should be able to be put on by your child without assistance if possible.)
  • Waterproof sandals/water shoes that can be worn in the river (no flip-flops)
  • Swim suit
  • Backpack (small daypack is okay)
  • Life Jacket- all campers need to pass a swim test with our camp counselors and lifeguard present to swim without a life jacket or floatation device.
  • Water bottle or Camelbak type system for hydration (very important!). Please do not pack your child any soda of any kind.
  • Campfire Lunch Thursdays: If your child is attending camp on Thursdays, we encourage them to bring something for lunch that can be heated over the campfire. Food ideas include things like hot dogs, grilled cheese, pre-cooked chicken skewers, or baked potatoes.
