If you’ve been paying attention to any of our communications lately, you have likely seen us talking about Spring Fling 2022 this Saturday, April 9. The event, which is a combination of pond skimming, a concert, and a tribute to Win, is shaping up to be our biggest event of the year, rain or shine. But if you still have questions about the event, allow me to bundle all the details together here in one spot.
First off isPond Skimming at 10:00 AM, sponsored by both Mastercraft and Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Fun fact, we’ll have an actual Mastercraft boat up at the pond for the judges (including me!) to sit in. Participants will also get towels from Mastercraft as part of their registration. This is the first year we offered online registration and the event is SOLD OUT. If you know a friend that was planning to head in Saturday morning to register, help us let them know that all the spots are now booked. Win, in Sugarbush tradition, will be forerunning once again! Fun fact, though he’s had family members join him in trying to cross the pond, he’s still the only Smith to successfully do so. Will that change this year?
The Concert will kick off at 2:00 PM, featuring Chadwick Stokes from Dispatch, G-Love, and DJ Logic. The stage will be set up in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard, near the Waffle Cabin, facing Rumble’s and Spring Fling. As a reminder, this concert is free for everyone!
We are, however, offering a more exclusive experience through our Ikon Pass VIP Lounge located in Rumble’s. While originally intended for just Ikon Pass holders, we have extended the opportunity to also include all Sugarbush 2022/23 season pass holders, Clay Brook Owners, and employees, as well as their friends and family. What’s included in the lounge? For $75, you get access to a buffet full of delicious food, two alcoholic drinks from Lawson’s, free Coke products, and giveaways and raffles from sponsors including Dakine gear, a pair of Head Skis, Smith skis and goggles, a GoPro, Lawson’s, and Ikon (potentially a few more). The lounge also provides exclusive access to the Rumble’s Patio, with premiere covered viewing of the stage. Tickets are limited to the first 350 people.
