Resort Holiday Events and Activities for the Whole Family

The Holiday Week is here and we have some festive events and activities going on around the Resort. Warm up with hot cider and s’mores, take a guided snowshoe tour, paint and sip with us, and more!

Christmas Eve Service – Friday, December 24th

Come and enjoy a non-denominational service with Reverend Bill Wick in the Gate House Lodge from 5PM until 6PM. This annual event is always a special way to celebrate the Christmas holiday.

Christmas Dinner at Rumble’s – Saturday, December 25th

Rumble’s Bistro & Bar will be hosting a delicious Christmas Dinner. Food options include Rumble’s regular menu, along with other delicious season specials. Reservations are available from 3PM until 9PM, and the specials are available after 5PM. Be sure to stop in for their breakfast buffet from 7AM until 11AM, too!

Adult Paint and Sip – Monday, December 27th

Jill McManus from local business Waitsfield’s Kid’s Creations will be hosting a Paint and Sip from 6PM until 8PM at Rumble’s Bistro and Bar. Participants will receive a canvas, brush, and acrylic paints, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Treat yourself to a parents’ night out and enjoy some artistic expression and delicious refreshments.

Kids Cocoa and Canvas – Tuesday, December 28th

It’s the kids’ turn for a night out! This event is for ages eight to twelve and includes all painting supplies and unlimited hot cocoa. Cocoa and Canvas will be held in Rumble’s Bistro & Bar from 4:30PM until 6:30PM.

New Year’s Eve Dinner – Friday, December 31st

In case you won’t be able to make Christmas Dinner, Rumble’s Bistro & Bar will be hosting another holiday dinner on New Year’s Eve, sponsored by Eden Cider. A special buffet will be served from 4PM until 10PM, with Eden Specialty Cider flights and single pours. Reservations are recommended.

Fireworks Guided Snowshoe Tour – Friday, December 31st

Get a unique view of our New Year’s Eve fireworks with a moonlit Guided Snowshoe Tour up the mountain. After a hike to the top of the Gate House Quad, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in the Patrol Shack, take in starry views, and watch our legendary fireworks display. Snowshoes are available for rent.

Torchlight Parade and Fireworks – Friday, December 31st

Always a fan favorite on the holidays, Sugarbush staff will be lighting up Spring Fling in our annual Torchlight Parade. Afterward, the show continues with a state-of-the-art fireworks display. Grab a drink and find the best spot for viewing in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard. The Torchlight Parade starts at 7PM, and fireworks begin promptly after.

Castlerock Pub Apres Ski Party – Saturday, January 1st

Rumble’s Bistro & Bar and the Green Mountain Lounge will be bumping with live music on New Year’s Day! Stop by for delicious food, drinks, and good times at 3PM at both locations for the perfect way to apres ski.

Family Selfie Scavenger Hunt – Sunday, January 2nd

Have some family fun with our Family Selfie Scavenger Hunt! Take a family selfie at the top of the Gate House Express Quad, on Sleeper with the trail sign in the photo, Slowpoke with the trail sign in the photo, and with a Sugarbush Ambassador. The first three families to show their selfies to the Guest Services Desk win a prize!

Recurring Events

We’ll be serving up hot cider and offering s’mores in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard every day this week. Hot cider will be available at 2PM and s’mores supplies will be put out at 3:15PM. Guided Snowshoe Tours are also available over at the Ski & Ride School. Reservations are recommended. For those looking for a super unique way to explore the mountain and take in the views of Lincoln Peak and Beyond, Sunset Groomer Rides are available daily between December 27th and January 2nd. Reservations are required for all Cabin Cat adventures.
