The Snow Portion of the Weekend
With close to 300” of snow, it’s been a helluva season. For closing weekend, we thought, why not go out with a bang? With our final days of operation on tap, plus a crowd favorite, Ski & Tee Weekend, returning, why not add another surprise to the line up. FREE SKIING. Yep, for everyone. But, should you be so inclined, you can help us out with something. The Descent to Rise Above is/soon to be was a vertical challenge we embarked on to try to collectively ski and ride a billion vertical feet in a single season. We put it out there in an attempt to raise $50,000 for mental health and wellbeing. One could say it was a bit ambitious; maybe we got a tad over our skis. But as we head into the final weekend with 790,447,318 vertical feet under our edges, we’re going to ask you to try to get us as close to the mark as your legs will allow.
When you come up this weekend, be sure to open your Sugarbush or Ikon app and press START TRACKING. It’s going to be a downhill battle, and the math isn’t on our side to hit the number. But we never liked math anyway.
How To Get Your Free Ticket
Head to our e-store to claim your freebies through the link below. Tickets must be loaded onto a reloadable SugarXpress Card. If you already have a SugarXpress Card, you can simply reload your free day and go straight to the lifts. If you don’t have a card, just select the day(s) you want here and visit any Sugarbush pick-up box or ticket office to pick up your cards.
The Green Portion of the Weekend
Can those getting their free ticket also participate in Ski & Tee? Short answer; yes! Your freebie ticket is still a mountain product and as long as you scan in, you can play for $35 at the golf course. Ski & Tee is still slated for the first weekend in May. We are keeping an eye on the forecast in case it gets a little too wet out there. Be sure to check our website and social media for any updates on that. Looking for more info about green fees or the golf course schedule? Head over to my latest blog for a more detailed look into Ski & Tee Weekend.

That’s right! The best spring buddies are pairing up for the ultimate weekend of fun and celebration. You can round off the ski season with a few last sunny runs on the mountain, and head straight to the green for the first round of golf for the summer season. It’s the best of both worlds. Where else can you get that, other than Vermont?! Ski & Tee Weekend just got better—more mountain passes now get you discounted green fees on May 3rd and 4th. Come for the slopes, stay for the swing!

The Descent to Rise Above Challenge
This season, participate in a challenge to raise up to $50,000 for mental wellness and resilience by skiing and riding a BILLION vertical feet in a single season. But on a slightly more purposeful level, the Challenge looks to create chances to connect and possibly share some of the less-than-comfortable stories we all may carry. Lift rides and long runs tend to be great conversation starters. They’re also great for showcasing a boundless remedy that’s right beneath our boots: the infinite healing power offered by the outdoors.
Help Us Finish Strong
We’re almost to our vertical goal! Download either the Sugarbush or Ikon app. When you come to the mountain to contribute your vertical to the Challenge, open the app and click on “TRAIL MAP & TRACKING.” And then simply click on “START TRACKING.” Every bit counts to hit our goal this season!
