While events have been slow to populate the winter, we are excited to bring in a new dinner series over at Rumble’s Bistro & Bar. The restaurant is hosting nine unique pairing dinners with a Vermont spirit crafter throughout the winter season. Each dinner will be paired with a different partner from around the state including Zero Gravity, Citizen Cider, Vermont Wine Merchants, Fiddlehead, Mad River Distillers, Von Trapp Brewers, and Harpoon.
The dinners run from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on various Thursdays throughout the season and consist of five courses, each uniquely paired with a drink from the partner of that dinner. The dinners are capped at 75 people each and cost $95 plus tax and gratuity. As with anything at Sugarbush this season, masks will be required at any point when you’re not actively seated and dining.
We had planned to host our first dinner tonight, but didn’t have enough lead time to get reservations in. So even though it’s no longer happening, I wanted to share with you the menu to give you an idea of what future menus could look like.
New England Popover, Vermont Crème Fraiche, Carrot & Horseradish Slaw. Paired with Little Sip.
Slow Cooked Pork Belly, Warm Lentil Salad, Pomegranate Seeds, Micro Celery. Paired with The Space Between.
Winter Greens, Salt Roasted Beets, Pumpkin Seed Butter, Grilled Radicchio, Fresh Orange, Citrus Vinaigrette. Paired with Scragg Mountain Pilsner.
Chianti Braised Short Ribs, Country Root Vegetable Mash, Charred Cippolini Onions, Apple Gremolata. Paired with Castlerock IPA.
Sweet Potato Cupcake, Marshmallow Crème, Poached Cranberries. Paired with Maple Nipple.
