We’re excited to introduce This Mountain Makes Us, a new video series that dives deep into the stories that shape Sugarbush and the Mad River Valley. This series is about more than just trails and turns. It’s about the people, places, and purpose that makes this mountain community special.
Each episode will explore the what and why of our region, from trail building and resort updates to community initiatives and quirky traditions and, just as importantly, highlight the who behind it all. You’ll get to meet the locals, volunteers, and staff who keep this place moving and thriving.
We kick things off with Episode One, featuring Bob Kogut, President of the Board of Directors for the Mad River Riders. Bob and his team have been instrumental in building and maintaining a world-class network of sustainable, multi-use trails in the Valley. We caught up with him to talk trail philosophy, community engagement, and what it takes to keep the wheels spinning in every season.
