State of the Mountain 2/13/26

What a time to be alive. Well, alive AND a Sugarbush skier that is. Things have been nothing short of great for what feels like months at this point. We’ve been 100% open a large chunk of the year and the snow just keeps on falling. After another foot of fortuitous pre-holiday snow dropped in the last 48 hours, we’re now sitting pretty at 178″ on the year. That puts us well ahead of pace to beat our 250″ average and if we have a snowier March than a year ago, perhaps even on track to beat last season’s total.

As we look ahead to our third and final holiday week, conditions couldn’t be in better shape. For those rolling in this weekend, expect plenty of packed powder, soft corduroy, and maybe even a few stashes still hidden in the trees. Plus, we’re looking at comfortable temps in the 20s and 30s through at least next Wednesday and a smattering of sun and snow showers throughout the week. Everything is a go for this holiday period, so you’ll enjoy 100% of trails and lifts starting Saturday, February 14th through Sunday, February 22nd.

But like every holiday period, the good times don’t stop on the slopes. There’s a full slate of events on tap ranging from live music to kids events to the return of our newly popular laser show and DJ dance party. Take a look at the events calendar and find something to hook you in or check out Corinne’s blog highlighting them.

I know I keep saying it, but this is the time to get to Sugarbush. Carve up some turns, find some pow stashes, take in the entertainment, or just grab a beer in The Courtyard. It’s a great time to be a Sugarbusher.

See you on the mountain.
