Personally, this time of year is one of my favorites. It’s a transformative time of the year. The transition from summer to fall, where you find change in every place that you look. The smell of the air, the color of the leaves, the clothes that you wear. It’s an exciting time of year, for Vermont especially, as people from all over flock to take in the beauty of the fall colors. Here, in the Mad River Valley our fall starts pretty early! We see colors start to pop up across the mountain as early as August. This gives visitors plenty of time to visit during the Autumn season! We put together a little guide for Foliage Season in the Mad River Valley that covers peak predictions, upcoming events, and what to do while you’re in town. To go with our guide, we spent some time capturing the beauty of the Valley featuring our favorite sights to see in this time of year. Our photo gallery is sure to make you want to hop in your car and take the scenic route. Take a scroll and get inspired to take your own foliage photos across the Mad River Valley!
