The Waitsfield Farmers Market is in full swing, and there is no better time to go! The farmers, makers, and bakers have all got their prime product ready for you to see, taste, and take home. At peak summer is when you’ll find an abundance of delicious hand raised produce, meat, breads, cheeses, and flowers. Or, find trinkets, home decor, new art pieces, to gift or bring home as a souvenir. Whatever you’re looking for, the Waitsfield Farmers Market has it. Perfect for locals and visitors alike to meander, chat up the vendors, and spend a lovely Saturday afternoon in the community.

Established in 1993, the Waitsfield Farmer’s Market for decades has been a meeting place for those who appreciate Vermont farmers and artisans. Our market vendors are a carefully curated group of local Vermont businesses who provide the highest quality products to market. Local produce, plant starts, fruit trees, bushes, maple, honey, flowers, seedlings, eggs, meats, cheeses, fish, crafts, art, clothes, bread, baked goods, liquors, and prepared foods all by Vermonters.

Make a Day Out of it

The Waitsfield Farmers Market is the kind of market you can hang at, you know? There are so many vendors to see, there’s new live music weekly, lots of snacks to be had and so much more. Just off of the Mad River Green Shops, it’s the perfect spot to plop yourself for half a day. If you ask me, the best way to approach the farmers market is to park at the Mad River Green Shops. Mosey on over to the green, and start making your way through the booths counter clockwise. After one loop you’ve made some choices. Mine usually includes going back for an ice pop, a flower bouquet, and a tasty breakfast treat (usually a bagel or a crepe)! Bring all your goodies to a picnic table and just enjoy them and the music. To finish it off, on your way back to your car pop into a couple of the Mad River Green Shops.
