Announcing the 14th Annual Green Mountain Shred-A-Thon!

Every year, we host High Fives Foundation’s Green Mountain Shred-A-Thon. It is a pledge-driven event that is held each spring at Mt. Ellen. On Saturday March 9th, 2025, participants will begin after having gathered pledges like NASCAR racing chasing sponsorships. Each participant will challenge themselves to hot laps as many times as possible from first to the last chair. Awards are given out for a variety of categories. There will be a vendor village, live DJ, lunch provided for participants, and an all-around great party in the name of philanthropy!

What started with humble beginnings in 2011 as a gathering of local Vermonters enjoying a day on the slopes has morphed into a vibrant community celebration welcoming skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from experts and novices to adaptive athletes. Gather pledges, race the clock, and enjoy a festive après-ski party—all while supporting adaptive athletes and veterans recovering from life-altering injuries.

About High Fives Foundation

High Fives was formed to create a universal shift in adventure sports that expand on what is possible for those who have experienced life-changing injuries. CEO and founder of High Fives, Roy Tuscany, suffered a devastating spinal cord injury in 2006 while training in the terrain park at Mammoth Mountain, California. From that point, he was committed to becoming a leader in the education and recovery of life-altering injuries in outdoor action sports for injured athletes and Veterans, so they can get back to doing what they love. Today Sugarbush hosts several High Fives fundraising events and sponsors them throughout the year.

High Fives empowers the outdoor sports community through the power of resilience and philanthropy,” said Roy Tuscany, Founder and CEO of High Fives Foundation. “The Green Mountain Shred-A-Thon is a chance for Vermonters to rally together, turn their passion for skiing and snowboarding into impact, and have a blast doing it!
