Prime Season is Here at the Sugarbush Golf Course

There’s nothing quite like summer on the Sugarbush golf course. The greens are rolling smooth, the mountain views are popping, and the days are long enough to sneak in a late afternoon round, or just linger a little longer on the patio at Hogan’s.

The Course is Looking (and Playing) Better Than Ever

We’re in our prime season, and it shows. Not just in the weather, but in the course itself too! Over the last few years, our team has been hard at work making thoughtful improvements to keep the course playing beautifully and sustainably. One of the biggest changes? We’ve leaned into more eco-friendly practices. Our grounds-keeping team uses organic treatments and natural methods to keep the course healthy and vibrant without relying on harsh chemicals. We’ve also started planting more fescue (that’s the tall, wispy grass you’ll see between holes). It helps cut down on mowing, sharpens sightlines, and gives the course a more natural, sculpted look. You’ll also notice more wildflowers blooming around the course. These pops of color don’t just look great, they help support local pollinators and native plant life, making the course better for the environment overall.

Come Play This Summer

It’s a great time to be out here. The course is in top shape, the views are unbeatable, and there’s plenty of season to go. Book a tee time, grab a friend, and enjoy summer at its finest.

A Legendary Layout in the Green Mountains

Sugarbush Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. masterpiece, nestled right in the heart of Vermont’s stunning Green Mountains. Jones, who also designed iconic courses like Pebble Beach and Saratoga Springs, brought his legendary touch to every fairway and green here. The result? A par-70 (men) and par-72 (women) layout that’s as challenging as it is rewarding, and always framed by breathtaking mountain views.

The course includes all the essentials (and then some): a scenic driving range, full-service Pro Shop, lessons with PGA Pro Roger King, competitive tournaments, and, of course, post-round food and drinks at Hogan’s Pub.

Hogan’s pub

Located at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Course, Hogan’s Pub is the perfect place to kick back, relax, and soak in the stunning scenery of the Mad River Valley. Take in sweeping views of the 18th green, the rolling fairways, and the slopes of Lincoln Peak from our spacious, expanded deck. Whether you’re wrapping up a round or just stopping by for a casual meal, Hogan’s serves up hearty pub favorites, refreshing drinks, and the perfect après-golf atmosphere. Grab a drink to take on the course or settle in and savor the view. Check out the menu.
