Many of our Sugarbush wedding stories begin well, at Sugarbush! More often than not, our couples’ love stories begin right on the mountain. Most couples met while skiing together on the weekends during college, have fond childhood memories with their families, or most often, got engaged here! From that moment, these couples know that Sugarbush is the right venue for them. Tied with so many memories, plus some insanely gorgeous views and lodges, it doesn’t get much better than that.

We loved our Sugarbush wedding! The pre-planning support was great and the day-of support from Molly was amazing. If you are looking for a venue where your guests can stay (in very nice rooms) and all events to be in walking distance – this is the place!

Ceremony & Reception Locations
We offer a variety of locations to fit any wedding style. Our most popular ceremony site is the Mountain Meadow located at the top of the Gate House chairlift. We are the only venue in Vermont that offers private use of chairlifts, making customizing your wedding day even easier! With an expansive backdrop of the Green Mountains, this location provides an incredibly memorable and unique experience for you and your guests! Other ceremony locations include The Gate House Lawn and Clay Brook Courtyard, located in the base area at Lincoln Peak. There you can still find a stunning setting for your ceremony right at the base of the mountains.
Our reception venues are centrally located making transitions on your wedding day feel seamless and natural. The Mountainview & Courtyard Room, located in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard, features cathedral ceilings and expansive mountain views. Enjoy cocktail hour in our beloved après locations just steps away from the lift to the Mountain Meadow ceremony site. Across the patio, Rumble’s Bar & Bistro boasts an elegant post-and-beam structure, features a 45-foot cathedral ceiling, stone fireplace, and outdoor slope-side terrace. Rumble’s is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding reception. Lastly, our beloved Mt. Ellen Lodge is everything vintage ski lovers adore. It features an expansive deck; great for cocktail hours and late-night receptions, and provides a private and affordable option for those looking to get married in the Green Mountains.
The venue speaks for itself — it’s gorgeous, everything is on-site, and there are tons of great things for guests to do nearby. Being able to host an entire wedding weekend on the resort allowed us to relax and be able to spend time with many of our friends and family members, which we would likely not have been able to do had we chosen a venue that was not as accommodating or did not provide as many options for lodging, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, etc.

Maybe the best part about choosing to celebrate at Sugarbush is our unbeatable location. Right in the heart of the Mad River Valley, there is plenty for you and your guests to enjoy all weekend long! No matter the time of year, the Valley offers tons of activities for all to enjoy. From expansive hiking and mountain biking trails to scenic drives and covered bridges, quaint shops and villages to meander, and so much more. The valley is bustling especially in summer and fall with a weekly farmer’s market, scenic lift rides, and events every week. Can you really beat a cold dip in the river the morning of your wedding?! I don’t think so.
