Making the Most of Your Holiday Ski Trip

The gifts are wrapped, reservations are made, and the OOO email is set. You’re officially ready to swish and après Rachel Green style all holiday long. Let’s break down all that Sugarbush has to offer this holiday season and some fun tips on the best ways to spruce up your family ski trip!

Events to Make Things Merry and Bright

This holiday season Sugarbush has tons to offer for families and friends alike looking for off-mountain activities to keep the stoke for the season high. We’re kicking things off a week before Christmas with Breakfast with Santa at Rumble’s followed by the Holiday Craft Bazaar in the Gatehouse Lodge. And don’t fret if you’re on vacation time and sleep in, because we’ve got another Breakfast with Santa happening on Christmas Eve as well. Then, all weekend long we’ll have events around the resort to celebrate the holiday spirit. From live music to holiday face painting, and Christmas caroling – we’ve got events stacked up to keep the whole family busy.

Continuing into the week of the new year, we’ll have family-friendly fun including magicians, stargazing, and family movie night all conveniently located at the Lincoln Peak Base Area. Finally, possibly the most exciting of all, is Sugarbush’s famous NYE Fireworks display and Torchlight Parade! Gather in the courtyard or get your tailgate on to ring in the new year under the stars.

Find additional vendor information, event times, and locations all on the Sugarbush Events Calendar.

Making Spirits High

There is lots to explore across the resort during the holiday week, but how can you add some personal flare to your holiday ski trip? Here are some fun tips to keep the family traditions going, even while you’re away from home.

If you plan to be here on Christmas day, bring decorations to make your lodging extra festive! Nothing screams holiday spirit more than twinkle lights and stockings. And if you’re in a pinch, run to any of the retail locations on the property for last-minute stocking stuffers! The General Store, located on the first floor of Claybrook, has great options to choose from.

Want to celebrate NYE Dick Clark style but also want to avoid the crowds? Tailgating is the way to go! Set up camp in the parking lots at Clay Brook for the best viewing of the firework display. Bring chairs, blankets, and a thermos or two of your favorite holiday cheer. Don’t forget, get here early to get a good spot!
