Parades with personality. Fireworks over the peaks. Tie-dye stations, rubber duck drops, mountaintop concerts and more summer vibes than a cooler full of Rocket Pops. The 4th around here isn’t just a holiday…. it’s a long weekend full of all things fun and funky, set against the rolling green hills of the Mad River Valley.
From the wildly wonderful Warren Parade to live music that lasts all weekend long, Sugarbush turns up the volume on small-town charm and mountain celebration. Add in lawn games, scenic lift rides, family-friendly mayhem and a sky-splitting fireworks finale that takes the whole weekend over the top.

FRIDAY, JULY 4
Parade chaos. Mountain magic. Fireworks finale.
The weekend kicks off with a bang…literally. The 75th Annual Warren Parade brings all the eccentric energy this town is known for: handmade floats, costumed dancers, and that signature Warren weirdness. Free shuttles from Lincoln Peak make getting there easy and car-free.
Once the confetti settles, Lincoln Peak becomes the center of the action. Expect a full lineup of live music all day, mouthwatering BBQ, FREE scenic lift rides on the 4th (thanks to our friends at Lawson’s Finest,) courtyard games, tie-dye stations, the ever-popular Rubber Ducky Drop, and a fireworks finale that lights up the mountain sky.

SATURDAY, JULY 5
Tunes on the mountain. Vibes in the valley.
Day two is all about rhythm and views. Music on the Mountain returns with AmerikanaBlues bringing their soulful, high-energy sound to a summit stage at Allyn’s Lodge. Pack a blanket, hope for sunshine! This is a shine-only on the mountain show (but the show will go on indoors!)
Down below, the good times keep rolling with more tie-dye, caricatures, duck drops, lawn games, and scenic lift rides throughout the day. It’s the kind of summer celebration that makes long weekends feel too short.

SUNDAY, JULY 6
Finish strong. Slow down. Or both.
The final day eases into a more laid-back rhythm but doesn’t skimp on the fun. Live music returns to the Courtyard, disc golf clinics invite both beginners and casual throwers to join the game, and all the weekend favorites continue duck drops, tie-dye, lift rides, and games included.
Whether winding down or wringing every last drop of summer fun out of the weekend, Sunday delivers.

Sleep Steps from the Action
No need to drive home in the dark or miss the late-night fireworks. Sugarbush lodging packages make staying for the full weekend both easy and rewarding.
- Make it a Long Weekend at Clay Brook or The Lodge at Lincoln Peak. Book Friday and Saturday and receive Thursday or Sunday night on us.
- Save 20% on stays of two nights or more at The Lodge, ideal for those who prefer a little more flexibility.
Steps from the base area, these options put parades, music, mountain access, and evening festivities right outside the front door.

Beyond the Festivities
Between event highlights, Sugarbush and the Mad River Valley offer more than enough to fill the gaps… and then some.
Explore over 60 miles of mountain bike trails, play a round at the Sugarbush Resort Golf Club, or toss a few drives on the disc golf course. Prefer hiking boots to handlebars? Trails of all lengths and difficulty are easily accessible from the resort.
Off the mountain, there’s swimming at SHaRC, dips in the local river holes, and endless gravel rides winding through Vermont’s green countryside.
Make this long weekend is more than just a celebration, make it a full-on invitation to play, explore, and recharge in the mountains.
