A summer staple of the Valley is back! The Waitsfield Farmers Market is one of the most popular around. Every May through October it becomes everyone’s weekly routine to spend their Saturday mornings strolling the Mad River Green. Whether you shop weekly for produce, stop by during your weekend getaway, or go simply for the atmosphere – there’s most definitely something for everyone to enjoy!
The Waitsfield Farmers Market was established in 1993. Since then, it has been a place for folks to support and appreciate Vermont’s farmers and artisans. The market has been offering a wide variety of products since its opening. Some of the fine locally crafted items you can find include fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, maple syrup, liquors, pottery, fabric goods, photography, glassware and so much more. With 55 vendors, there’s lots to peruse each week.

Saturdays at the farmers market are the place to be. It’s dog friendly, there’s new live music every week, and tons of food to nosh on while you walk around. There’s plenty of parking in the Mad River Green Shops to spend your morning wandering the market and adjacent storefronts. Just behind the green, you’ll find Three Mountain Cafe, the Mad River Taste Place, and other shops like The Collection and Whippletree Designs to get your fill of local goods.
