Announcing Base Cabins: Private Slopeside Cabanas

2020 has made businesses get a bit creative with their offerings, and that is no different here at Sugarbush Resort. With our guests being our top priority, we have spent the past months coming up with ways to create a memorable experience, even with new regulations and protocols. As you may have heard, base lodges will have limited capacity this season and boot/bag storage will, unfortunately, not be provided. While we will have firepits and heat lamps set up around the base areas for warming stations, we wanted to add an option that gives guests a more of a lodge-type feel. A bonus, unlike base lodges, these are a completely private space for you and your family.

New this season, we’d like to introduce you to Base Cabins. Base Cabins are made up of six heated cabins (four at Lincoln Peak and two at Mt. Ellen) that can fit up to eight people. I like to think of them as being like a poolside cabana, only heated, has four walls, and is at the base of a mountain.

Each cabin is named after a Sugarbush peak, with a plaque inside to give you a little lesson on Long Trail geography as well as why that peak is named that peak. Cute, right? And as you can see in the above photo, these cabins have been placed on snow. Which means they are ski-in-ski-out! Each cabin comes fully equipped with boot and bag storage as well as a cooler. For those looking to live the full cabana life, food delivery services are also available.

More information and reservations will be available soon.
