When it comes to winter at Sugarbush, our Seasonal Programs are where it all comes together. They’re where skills grow, friendships form, and the mountain becomes a second home. With options for skiers and riders of different ages and commitment levels, you can find the perfect fit for your family’s weekend rhythm. Here’s a breakdown of our most popular youth programs to help you choose the best path this winter.
Adventure Blazers (Ages 7–15 | Weekend Program)
Welcome to the heart of the Sugarbush seasonal community! Adventure Blazers is our flagship two-day program for intermediate and advanced young skiers and riders ready to take their skills to the next level. Based at Lincoln Peak, this program emphasizes all-mountain exploration, camaraderie, and consistent progression.
Adventure Blazers is more than just lessons, it’s a journey. With the same group and coaches each weekend, kids build friendships, endurance, and confidence while learning to navigate everything from groomers to glades. And for families with younger skiers, we also offer Mini Blazers and Micro Blazers to help little legs and big dreams grow together.

Mt Ellen Blazers (Ages 6–12 | Sundays at Mt. Ellen)
Prefer a little more flexibility in your schedule? Mt Ellen Blazers is the perfect solution. Offering the same adventurous spirit in a single-day format, this Sunday program delivers all-mountain coaching in a laid-back, close-knit environment.
Ideal for Vermont locals or families who want to save one weekend day for family skiing, Mt Ellen Blazers keeps things simple: great terrain, great coaching, and a low-key vibe. Participants must be able to ride the lift and ski green terrain confidently, but beyond that, it’s all about having fun and progressing in a smaller group setting.

Mt Ellen Snowboard Team (Ages 8–18 | Freestyle-Focused)
Ready to take your riding to new heights? The Mt. Ellen Snowboard Team is where passion meets progression. This development-focused freestyle program is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to push themselves in the park and beyond.
Athletes train on rails, jumps, transition features, and more, using video analysis and expert coaching to refine their style and technique. The vibe? Supportive, exciting, and community driven. Whether you’re dreaming of podiums or just want to stomp new tricks with your crew, the Snowboard Team is where future legends take off.

More Ways to Ride: Specialized Programs for Unique Passions
Looking for something a little more niche, next-level, or just plain different? Sugarbush offers several specialized programs designed for young skiers and riders who want to dive deeper into specific areas of the mountain and themselves.
Ski Mountaineers (Ages 10–17)
Uphill, downhill, sidehill… Ski Mountaineers, or “Skimos,” do it all! This backcountry-inspired program is perfect for adventurous skiers who thrive in off-piste terrain and are hungry for fresh tracks. Equipped with touring setups, kids explore the mountain in a whole new way while building navigation, camping, and survival skills. From winter overnight trips to first tracks on powder days, this is a one-of-a-kind experience for confident, curious skiers.
Sugarbush SnowPro Academy (Ages 13–15)
Got a future ski instructor in the house? The SnowPro Academy blends high-level skiing and riding with coaching and teaching fundamentals. With a focus on leadership and PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification prep, this program is ideal for teens looking to turn their passion into purpose and maybe even a job down the line.
Sugarbush Freeski Team (Ages 8–18)
For athletes ready to turn heads and grab air, the Sugarbush Freeski Team delivers. With Development and Competition levels (a.k.a. the Diamond Dogs), skiers compete in moguls, slopestyle, and big mountain events while sharpening technique, creativity, and confidence. This is where big tricks, bold lines, and strong camaraderie come together.
